Legal information
Driver, contractor, and liability information
carrecovery24.uk helps connect customers who need recovery or roadside assistance with available independent recovery drivers and contractors.
Independent contractors
Drivers and recovery operators who accept jobs through us are self-employed independent contractors unless clearly stated otherwise in writing. They are not employees of carrecovery24.uk.
Each contractor is responsible for how they carry out the recovery, transport, roadside work, loading, unloading, and vehicle handling.
Insurance and licences
Drivers and contractors are expected to hold the appropriate insurance, licences, equipment, training, and permissions needed for the work they accept, including vehicle recovery or transport cover where required.
Customers should ask the attending driver or operator for confirmation of insurance or recovery cover if they want to verify it before work starts.
Our role
Our role is to help arrange contact between the customer and a suitable driver or contractor. The recovery service itself is performed by the attending driver or operator.
Prices, arrival times, routes, and availability can change because of traffic, weather, distance, vehicle condition, driver availability, and safety conditions.
Damage, loss, and responsibility
carrecovery24.uk is not liable for damage, loss, delay, missed appointments, vehicle contents, or other issues caused by an independent driver, contractor, third party, customer instructions, unsafe vehicle condition, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Any claim about vehicle damage, transport handling, driver conduct, or recovery work should be raised with the attending driver or contractor and their insurer. We may help pass information between the customer and contractor where appropriate.
